Seriously. Five SWAT team members for a hospital of that size? And I didn't understand why the SWAT team member shot Agent Butterfield and then just let him run off to kill some more. Oh my gosh this needs to be repeated a BILLION times. Dumbest thing ever; made worse by them stretching the show out to two hours. I'm so sick of Teddy/Owen, zero chemistry. And the pregnancy & miscarriage could have been left out entirely. It sounds like I disliked the episode, but overall it was pretty interesting.

OK, laugh at me but I cried at the end. The shooter sitting there with his gun and alcohol. It just was so sad in a way. I can't explain it really.

I felt bad for the intern who died, and I don't think I could stand him when he was alive.
For some reason his death affected me more than George's.

Wow! No activity on this thread in nearly six years! It just came back from it's winter hiatus and I have to say that while I didn't understand Ellen Pompeo or why people cast her when the show first started, I think that now she has really turned into a good actress. Last nights episode (like a lot of them) had me bawling. I know not every show has to be shiny and happy all the time, but damn the show writers like to have effed up stuff happen to their characters.
Also, Justin Chambers is really underrated I think. I hope after GA he has a nice career.

There has to be something going on there. All of a sudden he decides to leave? His storyline is one of the main ones on the show. There was no inkling of anything going on with Alex. His last scenes weren’t any kind of cliffhanger. Something had to have happened.

I didn’t hate it. The problem with this show is it should have ended* several seasons ago, or it should have rotated out doctors in a better way (more like E.R.). No hospital would have this many interns becoming fellows/residents, attending physicians, and Chiefs of Surgery. So it just does a disservice to the characters integrity over time. {Spoiler} The writers had an out by keeping the character off screen at the other hospital. I mean, even with Katherine going ballistic by buying that place out of spite, they weren’t closing it right? Just taking over? But that messy storyline in turn means something else has to happen with Alex. I don’t think he would have left Jo like this. It is odd to me that he just jumps into a life with Izzy after all this time (and that she’s ok with it, considering he’s married). I’d more buy that he finds out about the kids, wants to be near them, and wants space to figure it out. Considering the endings of characters of other actors that needed/wanted to leave, on the whole it’s not terrible. I guess it helps that Jo is one of my least favorite characters, and I never cared about her and Alex being soulmates. *I get me watching feeds into why it’s still on the air, but I have watched this show since the night it premiered and I. just. can’t. quit.

Wow, can't believe this show is still on. I stopped watching after season 3 because the show was too outlandish. This was after there was a high school prom in the hospital and Katherine Heigl's character intentionally worsened the health of the patient she was love in with to get him higher on a transplant list.
I'm also surprised to hearing Justin Chambers left. If I were a working actor with 5 kids, it'd be tempting to hold onto that sweet network money as long as possible.

His oldest kid is 26 and the youngest is 18. I would hope he made enough money all these years on Grey’s to put them through college (if that’s what they do/did) and then they should technically be able to make it on their own if his money runs out :-) .
