This thread is my happy place. Miami vice loved it. I'm sure I watched an episode Duran Duran or The Power Station in it I'm sure it wasn't just wishful thinking.. John Taylor and Crocket I mean surely that happened! Edit It did I IMDBed and it happened I knew I didn't dream that one up 😂 now off to you tube I go. Edit 2...Im about to fall down an Arcadia and Power Station, Duran side project shaped YouTube rabbit hole.. See ya! Didn't Adam Ant do an episode as well? IMDB says no, but I could SWEAR I remember it. Unless it was 1986.

If I'm misremembering right Miami Vice was quite the (original)celeb pop up fest back in the day ..I'm also thinking Don't Henley/Glenn Frey/both and Billy Idol too .. My YouTube rabbit hole threw up this gem... Be my baby...Robert Palmer and UB40Eta..Mrspickles wiki says Adam Ant was on an 1985 epi of The Equaliser, another show I loved anyone else remember Night caller or some such with Gary Cole too, do wevhave an 80s TV thread..in case I ever outstay my welcome in here...😇

Maybe it was an alcohol induced hallucination. Oh well, I did enjoy those lists! They left off Sheena Easton, though. Thanks for looking into it for me!

Michael Hutchence in Never tear us apart video was very beautiful... Just thought I needed to say that out loud. Going back a page but I had to second this. INXS is in heavy rotation on my iTunes "Happy Place" playlist. Beautiful man, gorgeous voice. Terribly missed.

Original SinKiss the DirtAnd my trigger for this particular rabbit hole.. Never tear us apartAnd just cos I mentioned Nick Cave and Hutchence and Kylie connection.. Where the Wild Roses growDo ya love me, Nick Cave and The Bad SeedsAnd just for my not 80s, Cillian Murphy/ Peaky Blinders love .... Red Right HandAnd this triggered another Aussie connection my cousin was playing this Jimmy Barnes Workingclass Man and other Cold Chisel stuff to death when I was over in the nineties! Sinead deserves an apology for the pope picture controversy and the nation anthem controversy. Remember that? A woman ahead of her time. My heart bleeds for her.

I just learned REM's Superman was a cover! Superman and Orange Crush were two of my REM favorites--I wasn't the hugest REM fan, but wow. I also went down an INXS hole over the weekend. I love the scrawny, vaguely twerpy 1982-1984 Michael Hutchence best. Gangly, no muscle tone, acne--it's all kind of endearing. " Don't Change" is another of my most favoritest songs.
