I have several Facebook friends who are/were A's fans and loved to talk smack about the Giants. They're all on the bandwagon now, some are even "beardifying" their profile pictures.

This blog is hilarious and really makes me wish I were still home right now. Figures that the year I move away, the Giants make it to the World Series. I saw some of KTVU's post-game coverage last night (thanks to my mooching off of my family's cable), and their interviews with fans around the city had me rolling, particularly a gentleman in a bright orange "Fear the Beard" t-shirt who said, "I'm not usually such a big fan, I just don't want us to lose to Texas. First of all, I hate that state, and second of all, I can't root for a team that used to be owned by George W. Bush." Only in SF! ;D

But I seriously want to slap Fox's commentators. Sure, most sports commentary is inane, but they are just SO random. Last night, as Schierholtz caught Francoeur's fly to make the last out, I'm pretty sure the guy said, "And Francoeur's beard is natural." Good for him.

I assume Joe Buck and Tim McCarver are still torturing everyone then? Their A-Rod fanboying during the ALCS and World Series in 2004 and 2007 pissed me off so much.

I hate Tim McCarver so much. My favorite story about him is that when he caught for the Cardinals he tried to tell Bob Gibson what pitch to use and Gibson said to him "Tim, the only thing you know about pitching is that you can't hit it."
And Joe Buck isn't fit to hold his father's mic up, much less be on national TV.
