Agreed that Gillian is not dead. And she is going to want her grandson back. Hopefully she'll love heroin so much she'll stay high for the entire fourth season. She is a fool; she should have at least tried to seduce Richard; I mean Julia looks just like Gillian, so....  |

Poor Tommy is going to wind up hating her, if he doesn't already. Sending away the one positive parental figure he has was not a smart move.

Producer Terrence Winter has confirmed that Gillian's not dead. I really wonder what's going to happen to her. Nucky and Eli just left her sitting there among all the dead bodies. I loved how Richard didn't even bother looking for her, I wouldn't have either. |

Did anyone catch the premiere last night? I was disappointed we didn't see Van Alden, but I didn't miss Margaret much.
Richard Harrow continues to be the most fascinating character on this show. What was the purpose of his mid-western killing spree? I hope we see a lot of him this season. And I really hope Gillian NEVER gets Tommy back. Ugh.

It's looking like we might learn more about Richard's back story, and that is awesome. I'm very much looking forward to it.

Is he a character that really needs a backstory? I'd like him to stay a mysterious badass.
This premiere was long on art direction, short on a reason to exist. So, everyone gets... more gangster-y. And all the actresses either get to play virgin or whore. Yay. Last season pretty much sucked until the final 3 episodes. I'm giving this season two more weeks to wow me or I'm out.

I liked that episode ... although that scene with the set-up "black rapist" fantasy was awful to watch.
