Last night was one of the best fights in the history of TV IMO. Chalky vs Dunn and Daughter stepped up.

It was indeed awesome. I'm not gonna miss Purnsley that much though, he was kind of annoying.

Dude was NEVER trustworthy. I did appreciate his gold teeth, though. You could tell he *thought* he was slick. Jeffrey Wright trying to explain theater was both funny and creepy. He's one of my favorite actors. ETA: Does Steve Buscemi have some sort of deal with HBO? I think this show is entertaining, but only exciting like, every 4 episodes. I remember thinking that after all the hype, it would certainly get canceled after the first season. Geez, remember Tommy? That seems like a decade ago.

The woman who plays the nightclub singer is exquisite. Her voice is so beautiful that I wish they would release an album of the songs she's done this season, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Actually, you can purchase some of Margot Bingham's BE songs on iTunes. I admit that I immediately developed a girl crush on her the first time I saw her sing on the show-and I hope she gets more recognition and goes on to have a more successful career as an actor/singer.

Gorgeous and extremely talented. When Nucky said he didn't care for the blues I was like, "She is amazing, SHUT IT!"

I was so glad that Chalky didn't die!
I'm also really enjoying Patricia Arquette in this series - she looks like she is having a great time playing Sally.

I remember thinking that after all the hype, it would certainly get canceled after the first season. Geez, remember Tommy? That seems like a decade ago. Something has to explain why this show's still on. We're three (four?) seasons in and they've never bothered to really bring together the Chicago, New York, and Atlantic City story lines. I have no idea why Van Alden and Capone are still in the show. They marooned Harrow on that farm with his sister foreeeeever with a subplot that amounted to absolutely nothing. They keep adding characters* when they don't bother wrapping up the ones they already have and then they drag out the ones whose plots did actually have a logical end (Van Alden, Margaret). I've watched from the beginning and can barely keep everyone straight. It doesn't seem like the writers have any idea where the story is going from episode to episode. I strongly suspect the show was conceived to be Nucky vs. Jimmy but the actor playing Jimmy sucked so hard that they had to change course. Pointless character #1: Ron Livingstone (can't remember his character's name). So far, there's no reason for him to exist. Gillian could have done everything she's done this season without him there. Pointless character #2: Chalky's wife. She's a retread of the morals-and-manners, disapproving wife-of-gangster character we already had with Margaret. Also, she makes no sense. Back in the day, there'd have been no chance that this bourgeois, light-skinned, educated black woman would have married the illiterate, dark, low-born criminal Chalky White. Given that she'd have married him when he was just beginning his life of crime, she'd be fully aware of his dealings, so her distaste for his gangster ways seems out of place.

The Ron Livingston plot had a point! It's that Gillian's going to jail! Yay! It was super-convoluted and made zero sense, but the result was good so whatever.
Other than that I got nothing.

I gave up on this season. It just got too boring and had a bunch of pointless storylines. I like Patricia Arquette but I don't care to see her as Nucky's latest dame. The college kid storyline was also boring. So much set up to have Eli give up his brother to the Feds to save his son from going to jail. I HATE all the Feds. I just have no interest in J. Edgar Hoover and his minions. This show has lost me.
