Ray is the only character that I like. At all! Oh, except for my weird love of Jessa ... a person I would despise in real life (but I can't look away from her bitchiness).
So the season is already over next week? I was disappointed that it didn't really improve all that much from season 1 (to me). I just remember sort of hating all the SATC gals in the beginning before their characters became less stringent and more sympathetic, but I never got there with this group. I know they're much darker people, but they're also still impossible for me to like.

I thought SATC was funny at first look, but doesn't hold up in consequent viewings. This is the same for me--some of it is kinda quaint funny, or dark funny, but I don't laugh out loud or ever think, wow, they really nailed x and y. Maybe I did for the initial few eps, but then it just became...kind of stagnant. I have to admit, Hanna's out-of-the-blue OCD reoccurrence fascinates me a bit.

It's interesting, bklynred, I find it darkly funny but the tone shift in the second season is a bit jarring. I dont find the first three seasons of SATC funny at all on repeat viewings but feel seasons four and five are genuinely comedic.

This show has taken a serious nosedive for me this season, and I loved season one. I do like the direction they have taken with Marnie's character (and especially her weird meltdown at the "MAUs" party), but other than that I'm just not enjoying it anymore.

Did anyone catch the season finale last Sunday? Shoshanna and Ray (and Colin Quinn!) were the highlights. Everyone is back to pilot episode status(with maybe a millimeter of growth). Marnie got back together with Charlie and his money. Hannah is back with Adam and possibly getting sued. Shoshanna is single again. Ray still manages Grumpy's (possibly the location in Brooklyn Heights). Jessa remains a non-motherfucking factor.

I really hated the finale and especially how the guys were "saving" the girls. Marnie is full of shit when she says she doesn't want Charlie back because of his money/success. Adam is just gross and Hannah is annoying. I was glad that Shoshanna and Ray broke up, at least.

Yeah, why didn't Jessa get ANYTHING? You could tell that the actress was pregnant all season. That sort of ruined her scenes for me because it was so obvious.
Never having known an Adam in my life - he's TOO creepy for me. I can't stand to look at the guy. I saw the actor on Letterman and he wasn't much better than the character. Maybe he's just artistic and shy, but he came off as cold and creepy.

Lena Dunham seems extremely fond of the actor so I doubt she'll ever get rid of his character.
