I think they started shooting last week so his departure must either come quite sudden or they're only saying now. But I agree, maybe it gives them the chance to have Marnie really move on now. Not sure if I'll tune in for season 3 but I'll probably get sucked back in by all the hype when Lena wins ALL the awards again next awards season ;-)

Just watched the season 4 premiere and omg, Marnie is the worst. The worst!
I actually enjoyed last season quite a bit, and I'm interested to see what happens with Hannah's move to Iowa.

I stumbled upon a gif of the salad tossing scene on Lainey Gossip today and I'm scared for life. The salad toss didn't disturb near as much as Desi wiping his face afterward, like it was the sweat off his brow. |

The review for this season so far, in four words: Oh, for fuck's sake.
Hannah is accepted into one of the most prestigious graduate writing programs in the country (U of Iowa), and she can't shake off her incredible narcissism. Marnie is screwing Desi, her creative partner who has a girlfriend and yet Marnie still can't accept that that is the reality of their relationship, Shosh has a great interview at Ann Taylor Loft, yet won't take the job they practically hand to her on a silver iPhone. The only one who doesn't piss me off is Jessa, and that's because she's a wonderfully unapologetic asshole.

I'm still watching--I just can't give up on the swan-song season. Marnie is still the actual worst (except for maybe Des--okay, absolutely Desi is the worsti). I am pulling for Shosh & Ray to get back together. I love Eli, even though his harsh words to Hannah were almost too much. Jessa is still horrible, but Adam is at least human. I really don't know what to think about Hannah, though I do think that her current big decision is...Well, not great.

I'm seeing this show through to the end, even though all of the characters are so off-putting.
I find Adam psycho, but he and Jessa's storyline is probably the one I am most invested in. I did like her discovering that the movie was not about him working out his awful relationship with Hanna, but working out his regret over losing a good relationship. It's a little silly that Jessa never read the script though.
"You are going to be a terrible mother" is pretty harsh. It's not necessarily untrue, but he said it out of selfishness.
