Anyone else watching this? I adore Julia Louis-Dreyfus, but I got halfway through the first episode and had to leave the room, I found it so annoying.

I liked the first episode, but I found it hard to keep up because I don't know a lot about politics. The fast pace was great - it was a joke machine! Love seeing Tony Hale. I feel like the concept could get stale before too long, though.

I liked both episodes but thought the second was funnier. It is still a little rough but I think it has good potential. Out of all of HBO's female "dramedies" (this, Girls, Enlightened), it is the only one I can see watching on a regular basis.

We've watched all season and decided this is must-see TV for us. If you enjoy politics and Larry David, this is a hoot.
At first, I thought it might be "female veep as ditz" and I wasn't all that interested, but a few episodes in, they sold me. Reid Scott nails the young self-important up and comer who would burn an American flag on live TV if he thought it would get him ahead.

It was slow-going, but I'm enjoying it more and more.
And anyone remember the McCauly Culkin movie 'My Girl'? THe girl from that movie is the Veep's right-hand gal.

I love Tony Hale in this, especially the scene where he whispers "You're very very pregnant" in her ear.

Last time I saw a picture of her she was kind of akward-looking, but she grew up nicely. I loved the My Girl movies (that's right, even the sequel). Love Veep as well, funniest show on tv at the moment.

She is great on the show. The whole cast is hilarious. This show really grew on me. I love how deeply cynical it is. I think my favorite bit was from the pilot after Selina makes a stupid comment Mike tries to cheer her up by telling her that maybe Tom Hanks will die and be a bigger news story than her. Just everybody's reactions were perfect.

I really, really love this show. JLD is perfect, and I just have giant anime heart eyes every time Tony Hale is on the screen.
