What about Katherine's missing hard drive of footage? She asked about it so many times I really felt something was going to happen in the end getting Selina back in office That could still come back. Towards the end of the episode they showed Dan taking a flash drive out of his coat pocket and looking kind of confused about why it was there, I think they were implying it was Catherine's missing film. |

I am really enjoying this season. I wasn't sure how they were going to round up the crew without the White House binding them together, but the current situation works perfectly.
Richard continues to be a ray of sunshine and my favourite part of every episode. I can't believe he's going to be a father!

Disclaimer: I love this show. I love everyone on it. I am only a few episodes into the new season though and it felt a little well worn to me. Maybe i haven't given it enough time, but it struck me that it was time to wrap things up.
Seriously, everyone is good on this show but Julia Louise Dreyfus is just amazing. I covet her wardrobe on the show.
And I'll chime in with the Richard love. I'm glad the writers have really run with his character.

I think that the Trump administration has made writing political satire really challenging. I mean, how do you skewer something that is personified by the current president?

On one hand I think they were smart to get out of the White House for the most part thus season because yeah you can't top what is currently going on. On the other hand the show now seems a little unfocused and scattered. It's already been renewed for another season too. Richard is the best though. Anyone watch his other show Detroiters? I haven't yet but I've heard good things about it.

I don't know when Leon West became my favourite (probably during that hilariously exasperated exchange with Mike last week) but he was so good in this week's episode!

The finale left me unsettled and uncertain about the future of this show. In the season premiere Ben calmly explains to Selina why she can't run again (no money and no support from the party) and yet everyone is willing to jump into a new campaign with her in the end? It looks like her only campaign money source (Sherman Tanz) will be funding Jonah's campaign.
I read a piece in A.V. Club that makes a point about asking the audience to suspend too much disbelief. The WaPo diary scandal was far too damaging for a presidential candidate who's been given too many chances already. People won't forget the data breach. And I don't care how dissatisfied Leon West may've been with his job, he's always hated Team Veep and thinks Selina was a terrible POTUS.
