It's been a while since I've watched The Thick of It, but from what I remember, the humor is similar to Veep, in that it's the incompetence/characters that are the focus, rather than specific political figures.

This is my favorite comedy on tv right now. It is completely profane and hysterical. I think the episode where JLD walked through a door was the funniest one yet. This show deserves Girls's buzz and accolades.

I have finally caught up with this show. Why it isn't more popular I don't know. I love it!

Bumping because its back for season 3 and meaner and funnier than ever. Only this show could make abortion funny. I love the new guy Richard and his female counterpart Kelly. They are so very, very dumb but cheerful. I hope the others don't break them.

I love Richard. So far, my laugh out loud moments are coming from him and Selena's reaction to him. When he said the thing about butter not requiring refrigeration as it is similar to fruit. When Ben was attempting to enter Selena's room and you hear him saying "you can catch more flies with honey than with bad language". Oh, dear. His delicate ears have no idea what they're in for! And then later in the limo when he offers his services to the campaign. The blissful look on his face when he boasts about his skills at the book signing, just cracked me up.
I only watched about 10 minutes of the latest episode. Do we find out why Kent is being extra creepy with Sue? Is this part of a ham-fisted strategy to get a job on Selena's campaign team?

Sue made a comment later on how Kent was obsessed with her but other than that it didn't come up again. I got the impression he was attracted to her because she was so ruthlessly efficient and calm unlike everyone else on Selena's team.

"Do they have bathrooms here, or do they just put their turds up into the cloud?" Oh, Selena.
I honestly don't know which work environment is more depressing; politics or Silicon Valley. I love that Clovis Watch is just as lame looking as Google Glass. And Creeg being "completely apolitical", but not when it comes to the repatriation tax. They actually managed to skewer everyone in one fell swoop.
Was not-Marissa Mayer hitting on Amy or genuinely interested in poaching her?
I didn't think fired Jonah could be more of an ass pimple than West Wing Jonah, but he has found a way. And I continue to enjoy his episodic rise to power and almost immediate fall from grace at the hands of Team Selena.

I'm not sure if she was hitting on her, but I loved Amy's retort that "I can't work here because I'm not a child."
I was vaguely worried Gary was having a stroke or heart attack...and I think I was the ONLY person worried. That's a cold bunch!

Seemed like a lost opportunity to not do a Silicon Valley crossover. Which is a show I can't watch because the whole thing is like those Clovis scenes. I feel sorry for all of Selena's staff. You just know that neither Amy or Dan are getting the campaign manager job.
