This became one of my favorite shows this spring. It came and went so fast it was criminal! Only eight episodes, right? Unbelievable. The episode where everyone thinks JLD is about to become POTUS is an instant classic in my mind. Jonah's all "Can I get you coffee?" Then later she can't even keep a disposable pen. Such is life.

Bumping because the second season has been stellar so far. This is probably my favorite comedy on the air now. Its sad that even though JLD won an Emmy this doesn't seem to get much attention.

Jolly green jizz face is possibly the best insult ever.

JLD saying "my boob" was the funniest thing I've seen in awhile. I had to rewind that whole scene a couple of times.

Dave Foley! I love how he keeps popping up on all these random TV shows. They've gotten some of my favorite comic actors for this show.

"He looks like a Disney villain." "We're bombing Finland." Great episode! I loved the nodding to the prime minister and Jonah at home in PJs with those crazy long legs.

I loved Selena telling Jonah to go fuck himself throughout the last episode. The whole show is great. It's subtle, intelligent humor.

I follow British comedian Chris Addison on Twitter and kept seeing him gushing about the show, which was a bit odd, since it's not made it to UK tv yet. At first I thought Veep was perhaps the US version of The Thick of It that he was in, but then I finally realized he had directed a few of the episodes, including the second-to-last. While Veep isn't specifically a US version of The Thick of It, both shows were created by the same person(Armando Iannucci).

Its interesting, on one hand the show has some of the most profane vulgar insults out there but on the other hand the humour is subtle and smart. I think I need to watch The Thick of It. But would non-British people get the jokes?
