Has anyone watched it all yet? Dying to discuss! Just finished Ep. 13 tonight. Oh yes. I finished it last Sun. We were snowed in for pretty much the whole weekend. I was thrilled that they put the season up so I had something to do with myself! Hoping more people will finish it so that we can discuss away!

I think the spoiler is out of the bag on the internet. Mr. B and I were like: WHOA.

I know this is going back to Season 1, but do you know what really bugged me about Russo's death? Sure, he made a huge mistake of leaving him in the passenger seat, but that he started the car with Russo's left index finger! There's no acceptable explanation to ever starting the car using your left hand or fingers unless your right arm/hand is impaired and his wasn't. Sorry, I can just get nitpicky about the smallest things.

I avoided this topic until I watched it all, so hopefully others do the same.
In the meantime, some not-too-spoilery things.
I wasn't as big of a fan of this season as the last one, mostly because it was a game between Frank and Tusk, with Pres. Walker volleyball-ing in the middle. I'm not a huge fan of the actor's portrayal of Walker but he seemed Meacham-dumb all season.
Also, in my dream world, there would be an epic standoff between Frank Underwood and Scandal's Cyrus Beene.

Frank leaving Russo in the passenger seat totally rang false for me. I mean, I'm sitting at home thinking "Move the body to the driver's side!" before Russo's actually dead but Frank overlooks that huge misstep? Kind of unbelievable.

I was perplexed about Frank turning over all his travel records to the investigating committee. Wouldn't his long night visits to Zoe be logged? Even if his first driver, who drove him for years, was somehow persuaded to keep them off the books wouldn't his replacement Meechum record the visits?
Claire was needlessly clumsy with the photographer in concocting an origin story for the "sleeping Claire" photo. He would have gone along with the Underwood's story. Instead, by leaving him in the wind and making him look a liar she made an enemy who potentially had incriminating information.
I am tempted to watch the BBC series which is the inspiration for HoC but I don't want to spoil myself!

I shotgunned this sucker the weekend it came out. So, I'm all in for discussion. :-)
Claire - I guess she's a feminist character in the sense that she's successfully as evil as her husband of her own accord as opposed to being facilitated by or dependent upon her husband.
The season as a whole was disappointing, just felt like it was way too easy for Frank to ascend, and so many loose ends were just hanging (Russo's death felt forgotten, the reporters' story got abandoned late into the season, even the thing where Claire sabotage's Frank's bill last season felt almost pointless in terms of Claire's evolution this season, and since there was mention of the Tea Party, one would think that the news would feature a story about Frank being suspicious because he was never elected...it would be delicious if in this AU, the Tea Party made a salient point).
Anyone else see Jimmi Simpson and think you can't see him as anything other than a McPoyle?
By the way, did anyone see the spoof "House of Nerds" from the WH Correspondents Dinner last year? Spacey was still as Frank as in the series. I love him.

Just finished up season 2 of this show. My boyfriend and I have watched the whole series over the past couple of weeks. I just have to say that Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright are MAGNIFICENT. I have new respect for both of them after watching this show. And I know that Claire is basically evil but I can't help it, I still find her awesome. I blame Robin Wright's great portrayal.
I was very glad to see Zoe die because I hated her. Same for Doug, from what I gather a lot of fans liked him but I thought he was such a creepy asshole. I've read speculation that he might not really be dead, but I don't see how that could be possible. He laid there in the woods overnight after receiving several devastating blows to the head. If he is alive (extremely unlikely), he's not going to have the sort of injuries from which he would fully recover.
I'm very interested to see how Frank functions without Doug and also what Frank will set his sights on next now that he's president. Seriously, where is there to go now? And what is it that he even WANTS, other than the power? I don't see how season three could be about anything other than his downfall.
