I am one who cannot watch any more eps of this series, despite once thinking it was as addictive as caffeine. Too close to real life, and too repetitive at this point. Underwood = evil. Got it. Really.

Yeah, I've been skipping through last season (mainly due to Joel Kinnamann, or else I wouldn't have watched at all) and might watch a bit of the new season. Nothing and nobody can take down the Underwoods. So why watch? I know already that they always win.

I had kind of wondered what the show would do once Frank had pretty much gotten all he wanted and it seems the writers were wondering too. I thought the dragged out election plotline was a complete misfire--especially since they must have known that everyone watching the show already lived through a two-year-long election in real life? I don't know what they were thinking. Patricia Clarkson's character was a step wrong for me too--she was great, but her character was basically god and this show has already used up its 'suspension of disbelief' allowance. The last few post-election episodes I actually liked, though. I thought it was kind of hilarious that the turtleneck-wearer Republican strategist got pissed at Claire for leaving a body in his house when he, apparently, had a body-remover guy on call! Talk about living in a glass house.

I can't get into this season at all. It's campaign/election fatigue. They did this on Scandal, too. And despite Scandal and HoC being over the top and unrealistic, our current political situation is so effed up that I just find myself shrugging at stuff that should shock me.

At least the Presidency shook up Claire's wardrobe a bit. I was so sick of her wearing the same skin tight Vogue pattern sloper all the damn time. Unless it was the same skin tight black track suit.
