Doug was creepy, but his character had more depth and was a lot more interesting than Zoe.
I think the only direction to take this show now is to make it about Francis vs. Claire. She is the only worthy adversary. What year was Pres. Walker on - how many years does Frank have in the White House in his weird, never-elected position?

I just finished season 1, although I've been spoiled for what happens in the first episode of season 2.
I can't stand Zoe Barnes and I see I'm not alone. I know a lot of Washington reporters are young, but she comes off as a kid trying to play a grown-up's game.
I knew what was going to happen to Russo as soon as Frank pulled the car in the garage. Was the whole "build him up and then tear him down" Frank's plan from the beginning, or did Frank only decide to tear him down after he became a loose cannon?
Frank is becoming more and more cartoonish. One of the best episodes was when he went back to his military school and got drunk with his old pals. He was actually likable.
I was a big fan of The West Wing and this show is an interesting dichotomy. I'd like to believe that real Washington politics is somewhere in between.

Netflix has arrived in Germany so naturally, my life hasn't been the same since. I watched both seasons of this in an embarrassingly short amount of time.
Frank and Claire are both absolutely insane and I hope that it will be Remy and Jackie who take them down one day. Wishful thinking, I know. I'll be shocked if both survive season 3. At first I was happy to see Stamper getting his head smashed in by Rachel but now I kinda hope he makes it. Yes, he deserves to rot in prison just as much as Frank, but I don't want the only person who truly knows all of Frank's secrets to be conviently gone. Rachel is a goner either way. Hacker guy knows a lot but has no chance. Zoe's boyfriend knows everything but is locked away.
I totally get the Corey Stoll love now. He's like Cumberbatch, you have to see him act to see the attraction ;-) I felt so sorry for Peter the whole time. I knew he didn't stand a chance but the fact that his poor kids lost their father was heartbreaking.
Zoe was a character whose actions didn't make sense half of the time. It was only when she finally understood how evil Frank really was, that she turned into a real journalist. I didn't expect her to go this soon though.
Season 2 wasn't as good as season 1 imho but I loved the addition of Jackie and her scenes with Remy. I may have squealed a little when I saw the actor showing up in Mockingjay Part 1.

Season 3 ( here's the trailer) begins February 27. I just got on the bandwagon and watched Seasons 1 and 2 within the last two weeks. Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright are fabulous. Since I wasn't watching it when everyone else was, I was completely surprised by Kate Mara's fate in the first ep of season 2. I really couldn't stand her, so I wasn't disappointed. In fact, her relationship with Francis was one of my biggest pet peeves. Those two had ZERO chemistry together. (Does Kevin Spacey have sexual chemistry with any woman though? The chemistry with Robin Wright is strangely asexual.) I thought the plot got a little silly in Season 2. I can't see the president's marital counseling or being on anti-depressants being the kind of scandal they made it out to be. I also thought they president getting impeached and resigning was a bit fantastical...or at least ridiculously rushed. I'm looking forward to season 3, though.

I assumed the music was NIN with the Fincher connection, but turns out it's A Perfect Circle.

Walker trying to make out with Claire in front of a room full of people??

Anyone watching Season 3 yet? I love that not even a minute into the very first episode, they show how ruthless and uncaring Frank really is. Also, {Spoiler}Doug not being dead really threw me in for a loop!!!

I finished season 3 on Saturday.
The Doug parts were the highlights for me.
Claire being completely out of her depth, with no control over her destiny was hard to watch. Sure, she can take a punch, but it was just one shitstorm after another.

I have only watched the first episode. I am really bad about binge watching everything these days, but am not on fire to binge based on the first episode.

I finished the season on Saturday too. Not a lot of jaw-dropping moments this season, although it did end with a cliffhanger. The second half of the season seemed to drag.
I thought the strongest episodes were the ones featuring Petrov. He is so delightfully Putin-esque.
