I was so looking forward to it but I didn't like it. I don't see myself watching it again.

I saw it today and liked it, not as much as the first one but I did like it. It was a little too long, but my two 8 year olds sat glued to it the whole time. The comments about finding it hard to suspend belief for parts of the movie are amusing to me. The whole premise requires a massive suspension of belief, surely? She's an Amazonian moulded from clay, transporting through various different time periods, with superpowers that include making people tell the truth by using a piece of rope. If I can believe that and just go with it, then I can believe the other stuff too

I was so looking forward to it but I didn't like it. I don't see myself watching it again. I fell asleep through the middle so I guess that about says it all. I was SO excited for this, less for the Wonder Woman plot, but more for the 1984 part and I was deeply disappointed by the lack of period details. There was the bit with Chris Pine's outfit and some hair and car touches, but overall, I didn't really see much nostalgia there. I was especially disappointed in the mall, I feel like there was a ton of potential to really go big on the 80s look there and it just didn't deliver for me.

Exactly, laurenj. If you're going to go eighties, then go full eighties. Have had the Miami Vice theme playing when Max was on screen, embiggen that hair, dress Diana in full shoulder pads.

They really seemed to not go for the 80s music with this one. I am surprised given how much they spent making this.

Watched this tonight, and I don’t know if I have been too wrapped up in American politics, but I totally saw Max Lord as Trump. Add the whole focus on Truth and it seems like an allegory on the horrors of Trumpism.
Or maybe I just need to take a break from the news.

Well without spoiling it too much- Max Lord had a touch of humanity about him and was capable of recognizing when he'd made a mistake- So I don't know if it was a complete allegory. I picked up on the truth theme as well though.
It wasn't the greatest movie. The first one was glorious and this one didn't come close. But that said, it was still better than the average DC movie. It was more spectacle than substance- but didn't actively make me feel angry for having wasted my time the way say Batman V Superman or Justice League did. I'd put it at about the same level as Aquaman- You watch pretty people do action stuff for 2 and a half hours and that's about the size of it.
And again, I'll try to be vague enough to avoid spoilers- but when they were wrapping everything up at the climax I kept thinking 'But what about that coffee guy...?'

Maybe it’s proportional to what you get - like later in the day he lost a glove, or he ordered large fries at McDonald’s and they gave him medium fries.

That surprised and disappointed me too, especially since they so effectively used New Order in the trailer. Watched this tonight, and I don’t know if I have been too wrapped up in American politics, but I totally saw Max Lord as Trump. He was totally meant as a stand in for Trump. All flash and nothing to back it up, consumed by greed. Coffee guy's coffee was too hot and burned his mouth. That's what balanced getting the free coffee.
