It seems to me that this is the case with Roman. Even the victim wants it all just to go away and the man is being praised left and right as the best director ever! He just won the best director of the year award from the Berlin film fest or some such event. So, if it's no one's business and no one cares, then I guess he just gets a free pass because he is brilliant at what he does. How lucky for him and how sad for us as a society if this is what can happen depending on who you are or what you do or how well you do it.

Back on topic though. Ewan is just an actor in a movie that Polanski directed. If he felt strongly at all about this whole thing he would have never agreed to be in Mr. Pedophile's movie to begin with.

If a judge wanted to throw out the unlawful sex with a minor charge then fine, throw it out. I think Polankski should be sentenced because he fled the country.

I don't know, I think McGregor should have passed on this one. What does it say about you if you are willing to work with someone wanted by the law? That you have no respect for said law, or no respect for the country where the law was enacted.

Drama on the Ewan McGregor domestic front. His daughter Clara, who is now 22, has been trashing his mistress, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, all over instagram. Called her "pure trash" and blamed her for wrecking a family with 4 kids. And then said Mary Elizabeth deleted her instagram out of shame. (Apparently Ewan has deleted his too.)

I guess that answers any lingering questions about how amicable the McGregor divorce was.

I'm just very disappointed in Ewan. It's awful to watch people in the throes of a midlife crisis destroy everything that's good in their lives.

Yeah, that's not good. I completely understand her pain and anger, but I think it's best vented on her own IG page, or she could write an angry song and share it like the other daughter did.

I'm still seriously disappointed in Ewan for blowing up his marriage like this, and I don't look very kindly on women who knowingly get involved with married men ~ especially ones with kids.

I'm sympathetic that having your parents break up sucks at any age and your dad having an affair with a much younger lady also feels gross, but that instagram behavior is what I would expect from a fourteen year old, not an adult. Sheesh.

The way I see it, the outsider (the "homewrecker") is easier for the family to hate unmitigatedly because they don't have any existing emotional bonds to that person. Hating your father is a lot harder to do (not that his daughters seem to have let Ewan off the hook).

His daughters probably see MEW as the obstacle that's keeping their family apart, and they probably aren't wrong. If MEW weren't in the picture, it's possible Ewan and Eve might be together. They were together for a long, long time and seemed to really love each other.

Both Ewan and MWE are to blame. Ewan cheated on and left his wife for another woman. MWE got involved with a man she knew was married and had four kids - and she remained involved with him knowing that he wrecked his family in order to be with her. It's all wrong. I'm actually ok with Clara shaming either of them publicly - they deserve it.
