I searched and couldn't find a thread for THE DOG.
On tonite's show the family is going to talk about their arrest.
America’s Favorite Bounty Hunter Jailed On September 15, 2006, Duane (aka Dog) Chapman, his son Leland, and his brother Tim Chapman were all arrested in Honolulu, Hawaii on charges of illegal bounty hunting in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico of Max Factor Heir, Andrew Luster. Chapman's capture of Luster, who had fled the country during his trial on charges he raped three women, catapulted the 53-year-old bounty hunter and his family who are also bounty hunters, to fame and led to the highly rated reality series on cable’s A&E channel that airs on Tuesday nights. Luster is now serving a 124-year prison term.
Bounty hunting is considered a crime in Mexico, and charges have been pending against the three since local police in Mexico arrested them shortly after they roped in Luster. They posted bail but never returned for their court hearing in July 2003, officials said. On Thursday, September 15, 2006, the trio was arrested in Honolulu, Hawaii and on Friday, September 16, 2006, the trio were released with electronic monitoring devices and forbidden to carry firearms, and had to turn in their passports. They are not considered flight risks and they must return to trial for extradition hearings to Mexico.

I'm supporting Dog 100%. I've had to stop going into the Dog thread on TWOP because it's divided into those who think he shouldn't be facing this and the government is selling him out to get a drug lord extradited (me) and those who think he's getting what he deserves and anyone who thinks otherwise needs a real life. Yes, he may have broken a law, but in the end he got a dangerous criminal off the streets, and beat the FBI to him - which I think is what's pissing them off the most.

I watch this show only for his mullet. It is the king of all mullets, and I bow down before it.

Ugh, don't even get me started on this whole mess. I'll be tuned in tonight, with bells on. I got hooked on this show a few months ago and just love it.
Especially Leland. ;D

I agree and I hope we (the US) don't extradite him for this. OK, yeah, it's against Mexico law...but Roman Polanski is a fugitve from a rape conviction and France doesn't see fit to send his ass back here to face justice. Apples and oranges maybe—but Dog didn't harm an innocent person, he captured a piece of human garbage and brought him back to serve out his very long jail sentence.
I like Dog and I like his attitude about being able to turn one's life around, no matter what the circumstances of that person's past are. I believe that. (Well, except in FUBAR's case. He's totally irredeemable.)
I'm looking forward to tonight's show. I haven't seen any coverage of his arrest—just read about it in the news.

Is that all he got in trouble for? I saw the previews and they made it seem juicy and scandalous.
Let's see... illegal bounty hunting that led to the capture of a serial rapist... hmm... I think I'm okay with the illegal bounty hunting here.

You know, it doesn't really surprise me that we would end up punishing a man who caught a disgusting, horrible, serial rapist. Figures. I really hope the US doesn't extradite him to Mexico.

I don't like Dog. I think he's an opportunistic famewhore who takes advantage of people in bad situations. I think he has absolutely no respect for Hawaiian culture, and I think Beth is going to get his ass killed one of these days.
But I think this business sucks. Luster is scum and something had to be done.
